and for a publishing imprint dedicated to making known the struggles that brought so many prisoners there and the issues and context of the camp within the slave labor economy of Nazi Germany and its crimes against humanity including the Nacht und Nebel decree were a dream. Over the past dozen years they have become reality. Recently, I have learned a lot about the vast and nearly daunting enterprise of publishing a book. Mazo Publishers, my co-publisher on the venture to bring Joseph Scheinmann/aka André Peulevey’s memoirs to the public, have been fantastic in support. Please check out the websites http://www.natzweiler-struthof.com and http://www.callmeandré.com, and let me know if you want me to save you ( pre-order ) a copy of the book, Call Me André: Freedom Fighter and Spy for the Resistance.

PS. A Freedom of information request has been opened and replied to with lots about André’s work as a special agent with MI6! For a fascinating look at the disguise section of the Special Operations Executive, created during WWII to “Set Europe Ablaze!” per Churchill’s unabashed mission statement.
